Jovanna, the only daughter of two professors, lived a happy childhood in the upscale neighborhoods of Upper Naples. But she is shocked one day when she hears a conversation between her parents, in which her father compares her to Vitoria, the ugly and vile aunt.
Thus Jovanna begins her search for Vittoria in the streets of Lower Naples, tinged with vulgarity and meanness.
